What to expect?
Prepare to launch your financial modelling career, as industry professionals Kenny Whitelaw-Jones and Toby Tucker join us in London for a 2-day exclusive course on "Essential Financial Modelling".
This course is an ideal introduction to financial modelling fundamentals and best practice. It introduces key concepts and techniques on model design and structure using a solar project case study. Participants will learn to build a 3-statement financial model from scratch.

Time Commitment
This course is a hands-on course and runs over 2 days. Each day will run approximately 7 hours in length, depending on the class size and attendees’ experience in working with the tools.
This 2-day course is organised by Gridlines in partnership with the Global Excel Summit and it will be delivered in-person in central London, UK on 17-18 March 2025.

Training requirements
You must bring a laptop (plus leads and adaptor if travelling from overseas) with both of the following installed:
- Excel 2016 or higher (Office 365 recommended)
- Installation of some Macros will be expected. Once you register, you will get access to the downloadable file.

Kenny Whitelaw-Jones
Partner, Gridlines and Co-founder, Project Finance Institute
Kenny Whitelaw-Jones is one of the leading financial modelling experts globally.
He has taught more than 20,000 analysts from the world’s leading banks, advisors, equity funds and developers from the world’s leading commercial and investment banks, top tier accounting firms, infrastructure funds and developers. He has played a significant role in the development of global financial modelling standards. Kenny is also a Partner at Gridlines, Head of Financial Modelling at Cranmore Partners, as well as the Co-Founder of the Project Finance Institute.
Toby Tucker
Instructor & Associate, Project Finance Institute
Toby Tucker is a KPMG trained chartered accountant and an expert project and corporate financier. With a PhD from the University of Oxford and 25 years’ commercial and transactional experience across various sectors and asset classes, he currently works closely with the Scottish Government undertaking the development of financing and funding strategies within the net zero space, particularly for energy efficiency, and heat decarbonisation. Toby is also a lead instructor at the Project Finance Institute, where he has taught on courses for organisations such as EBRD, Bank of Tokyo, Mitsubishi and many others.
