Create your first Power BI report the right way

Often, the outcome of something is determined by the first step you take. And in Power BI, this is more true than anywhere. Starting right means giving yourself the best chance at each step of the process, which is what this Masterclass is about.

It's about what to do before you even import the first table into the model,  and then what to be mindful of when you do. What is the purpose of the data model, and how should you be reacting to ensure your model serves its purpose?

We'll also look at specific ways of creating models that work fast and dynamically. They'll be created in a way so the number of reports and measures are kept to a minimum, which is ideal for every user of the model.

• A basic understanding of data-related terms like dashboard, report, model and database.
