Global Excel Summit and Gridlines connect to turbocharge your financial modelling

The Global Excel Summit is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Gridlines to deliver a couple of exciting London-based Masterclasses this April!

Gridlines specialises in financial modelling services for forward-thinking businesses that demand unparalleled insights.

These include four key areas:

  • Model building: Robust, flexible, and easy to understand models that are tailored to the needs of the business.
  • Model auditing: Comprehensive audits to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
  • Financial modelling training: In-person and online courses for those wanting to better their skills.
  • Financial advisory: Make confident and informed decisions to win high-stake bids when it matters most.

What are the Masterclasses?

The two Masterclasses are Essential Financial Modelling and Advanced Project Modelling.

Essential Financial Modelling is an ideal introduction to financial modelling fundamentals and best practices. It introduces key concepts and techniques on model design and structure using a solar project case study. By the end, you will have learned how to build a 3-statement financial model from scratch.

Advanced Project Modelling provides a comprehensive education in project finance modelling and teaches you how to tackle the complexity of project finance deals. You will also learn how to analyse projects, build models step-by-step, and effectively present transactions.

Both are hands-on courses led by industry experts Kenny Whitelaw-Jones and Toby Tucker, who share decades of experience between them. Kenny is a Founding Partner at Gridlines, while Toby is a lead instructor at the Project Finance Institute.

It’s worth remembering that it was only last month when Kenny provided some great insights in the ‘Raising spreadsheet standards’ panel discussion at the Global Excel Summit.

Upon completion of either Masterclass, you will be in a much stronger place to tackle financial modelling challenges head-on and accelerate your career growth!

When/where are the Masterclasses?

Essential Financial Modelling is scheduled for 1 & 2 April 2025.

Advanced Project Finance Modelling is scheduled for 3 & 4 April 2025.

Both take place in central London at the same location, which is LABS, 90 High Holborn, London WC1V 6LJ. They will run for around seven hours, with lunch, coffee, tea and biscuits provided throughout the day.

Other information

You can claim up to 14 and 35 hours of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points for Essential Financial Modelling and Advanced Project Finance Modelling, respectively.

You’ll also get a free digital copy of Kenny’s best-selling book, the ‘Financial Modelling Handbook’, which captures all the lessons he’s learned over the years from building hundreds of models.

Last but not least, you will receive a certificate of attendance, which you can proudly cherish as your ‘been there, done that’ stamp of proof.

How do I register?

Use the direct course links shown above, or go to the Masterclasses page to find both courses. Click on either to view the full course details and the checkout facility.

If you register for one but later find you can’t make it, you can always cancel for free up until 15 March.

To everyone that decides to come, we look forward to welcoming you!
