Following the runaway success of this year's first-ever in-person event, Microsoft Excel's premier conference is back next year, taking place 4–6 February.
Despite many so-called 'Excel killers' attempting to knock Excel off its perch, the program continues to enjoy huge usage in offices and homes across the world.
The Global Excel Summit 2025 is aimed at working professionals across a broad range of industries and professions who want to sharpen their skills to gain a competitive advantage in their careers.
‘Excel Connected’ is the theme, emphasising the importance of keeping up to date with the latest Excel features and functions, as well as building relationships with those across the industry.
Much of the feedback from those of you who attended GES2024 in person attested to this, as you enjoyed meeting others for the first time despite — in many cases — having already formed strong bonds online years before.
Something for everyone
Five dedicated tracks ensure there will be variety across sessions to suit a diverse audience. They are Tech & Innovation, Data Visualisation & Analytics, Finance & Accounting, The Power Stack, and Formulas & Automation.
The wide-ranging sessions will cover real-world examples and emphasise the latest additions in Excel, including Python, Copilot, and Office Scripts, as well as dynamic arrays, LAMBDAs, Power Query, and Power BI.
Like the 2024 edition, the first two days will be hosted in person and the final one online. However, the entire event will also be streamed on Hubilo again, a specialised platform for producing interactive and engaging experiences.
A venue built for Excellence
The prestigious Soho Place Theatre plays host this time. Situated in the heart of London, it's a modern setting having only opened in 2022. Featuring a curved 602-seat auditorium known as ‘the hug’, you won't be sat further than six rows back from the stage, ensuring everyone's close to the action and easily able to view on-screen demos.
The venue is air-conditioned, lantern-lit, and even has reliable Wi-Fi, all contributing to its homely feel. You'll also be able to connect with others in the bar and on the outdoor terrace overlooking the vibrant West End.
Luring the greatest
Leila Gharani has the honour of being the Event Ambassador for the fourth year running. The popular YouTuber has been highly influential in helping the summit gain traction over the years, as well as pushing forward the broader Excel movement.
A stellar lineup of more than 30 speakers will step foot on stage, featuring familiar and fresh names. These include Leila herself, Oz du Soleil, Carlos Barboza, Danielle Stein Fairhurst, and Ken Puls.
In addition to the main conference, in-person Masterclasses will also take place at a nearby location the day before and after. These will enable you to delve into Excel's advanced features with special in-depth sessions from Microsoft MVPs & experts. They are designed to equip you with some of the most sought-after skills in the workplace.
On a final note…
Being a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited event means you can claim over 30 CPD points to bolster your professional profile and aid career growth and development.
Several ticket options are available to suit your preference. These include paid in-person and online-only choices, as well as a free one if you wish to get a taste of the event on the final day.
