The Global Excel Summit is delighted to announce a new partnership with the ICAEW, the global professional body for chartered accountants.
ICAEW trains, develops, and supports over 208,000 members and students around the world. It also ensures that qualified chartered accountants have the knowledge and values to help build local and global economies that are sustainable, accountable, and fair. Indeed, 99 of the top 100 global brands employ ICAEW Chartered Accountants.
The wide range of offerings are:
- Training and certifications — the highly-respected ACA qualification offers a pathway to becoming a chartered accountant, but ICAEW also offers a wide range of training options and certifications open to all, in areas including Data Analytics, Sustainability, and Excel.
- Professional development — CPD ensures members stay up-to-date with accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices.
- Support and resources — members are provided with technical updates, advisory services, and access to research on key accounting topics.
- Regulation and standards — professional standards are upheld and members are advised to adhere to ethical practices and stay compliant.
- Advocacy and influence — ICAEW works with governments and regulators to influence policies affecting the accounting profession.
- Communities and networks — members are encouraged to connect, collaborate, and find solutions to industry problems with others in their space.
One of ICAEW’s largest communities is the Excel Community, boasting over 35,000 members. It serves as a comprehensive source of guidance for accountants and finance professionals aiming to enhance their use of Excel, and anyone can join.
The benefits include:
- Excel tips & tricks and blogs.
- Excel Community monthly newswire sent directly to your inbox.
- Access an extensive archive of webinar recordings on a wide variety of Excel topics.
- Practical guidance and examples to improve month-end processes and create better models.
- Group membership for your organisation. Includes discounted membership.
- Ask the experts by submitting your Excel questions via live webinars.
ICAEW at the Global Excel Summit 2025
ICAEW will be at the Global Excel Summit 2025 (4–6 Feb), giving you the perfect opportunity to discover more. Representatives from the organisation will be happy to talk about what they offer and take on any questions you may have.
On the second day, Head of Data Analytics and Tech, Ian Pay, will participate in the panel discussion, 'Raising spreadsheet standards: How do we avoid the next disaster?'.
This will be alongside four other industry professionals as they discuss how various high-profile spreadsheet disasters could have been prevented. They will also explore the systems, structures, and processes that organisations should consider to mitigate risk.
You'll also be able to chat with event speakers like Liam Bastick, Mark Proctor, Yousuf Marvi, and Fay Bordbar, who are all ICAEW members. Liam and Mark are also regular contributors to the Excel Community.
