Transform, analyse, combine and visualise your data more efficiently in Excel
Many Excel users still prepare data by hand and stitch tables together with VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP. It works until the data grows, the sources multiply and the same manual steps have to be repeated every month. Power Query and Power Pivot, two of Excel's most powerful data analysis tools, are built to solve exactly that.
This hands-on online Masterclass, delivered over two 3-hour sessions, introduces Power Pivot and Power Query, showing you how to build data models across multiple tables, automate data preparation and turn the results into interactive dashboards. You'll work with relationships, FACT and DIMENSION tables, your first DAX measures, and queries that clean and combine data from workbooks, CSV files and folders.
You'll move beyond traditional formulas and manual processes to more efficient, reliable and scalable data analysis workflows that you build once and simply refresh whenever new data arrives.
What you'll learn?
- How to build a data model in Power Pivot by creating relationships between multiple tables, without relying on complex lookup formulas
- How to structure your data correctly using FACT and DIMENSION tables
- The fundamentals of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create calculated measures and more advanced calculations
- How to analyse your data model with PivotTables, PivotCharts and slicers, and design dashboards that are clear and easy to use
- How to import, clean, transform and combine data from workbooks, CSV files and folders with Power Query
- How to automate repetitive data preparation, so updating your report becomes a single refresh
This class will be delivered online over two sessions on 20 & 21 May 2027 (9:00 am–12:00 pm BST each day).
This training is available as a single Masterclass or as part of our Premium (Online) or Ultimate (Online) Global Excel Summit ticket.
