The Finance Team Toolkit: Build Solutions That Save Time
Build solutions that save time every month
Modern finance teams spend too much time on manual, repetitive work: consolidations, reconciliations, report packs and commentary rebuilt by hand every month.
This hands-on, full-day in-person Masterclass shows how to use software most finance professionals already have, including Excel, VBA, Power Query, Power Automate and Copilot, to build reusable tools that save time every month. You'll see real-world examples that deliver significant productivity gains.
You'll learn which tool suits which job, how desktop and cloud automation differ, and how to build processes that are repeatable, scalable and easy to maintain, with AI accelerating the development.
What you'll learn?
- Which automation tools are best suited to different finance challenges: Excel, VBA, Power Query, Power Automate and Copilot
- The strengths and limitations of desktop and cloud-based automation
- How to automate common finance tasks such as consolidations, reconciliations, commentary generation and automatically creating separate reports for different teams or recipients
- How to build processes that are repeatable, scalable and easy to maintain
- How to use AI to accelerate development, and where to spot automation opportunities in your own organisation
This class will be delivered in-person in Central London, UK on Monday 17 May 2027 (10:00 am–5:00 pm BST).
This training is available as a single Masterclass or as part of our Premium (In-Person) or Ultimate (In-Person) Global Excel Summit ticket.
